Sean and his team at StormWorks repaired and re-shingled our garage roof, which was heavily damaged when it was struck by a giant tree that came down during a storm. They did an outstanding job, at a very reasonable price. The roof is in better shape than it was prior to the tree damage. From start to finish, working with Sean was an excellent experience, especially when compared with some of the jokers I dealt with at other outfits, several of whom couldn’t even be bothered to provide a quote, and a few who made scheduling an on-site damage review seem more difficult than passing gun control legislation. I called Sean on a Friday afternoon and he was at our place promptly at 8:00 AM on Saturday morning to review damages and provide initial thoughts on repair, and I received a detailed, easily-understood quote by 1:30 that afternoon. He was completely professional throughout every stage of this process- availability, assessment, quote, contract execution, repair work and cleanup, and post-job follow-up. Additionally, Sean’s team was very professional and courteous throughout the repair job, which is not always the case with some firms, unfortunately. I wish all contractors were this enjoyable to work with. One thing in particular stood out about Sean above all the other contractors- his candor. When I mentioned that some of the guys who I’d had out for damage review had told us we needed substantial masonry work done, including one that said we’d need to do a complete tear-down and re-build of the detached garage structure, Sean shook his head and immediately said that based on his assessment of the damages, a repair would be sufficient, followed by, “Call the city building inspector and have him come out to review the damage. He’ll tell you the same thing.” Challenge accepted! I called the inspector, who came out and said exactly that- a repair would be perfectly fine, with no rebuild or masonry work needed- and he provided a few suggestions on how to repair to improve structural reinforcement, approaches which Sean had already included in his review and quote the week before. So instead of spending from 4 to over 5 times as much through one of these other questionable outfits, we obviously went with StormWorks and could not be any happier that we did. I cannot emphasize enough how pleased we are with the whole StormWorks experience. Great guys, great work, great price.
