Sean’s initial offer was $9000 which was the second lowest among 8 different quotes I obtained. The lowest was $8500. He explained the work clearly and we had a quick, painless negotiation about small details. I learned that with Sean, it’s easiest to say exactly what you want and get a quick answer instead of holding back and feeling gutted. The initial estimate was a 2-day job. One day into the job, we learned that the scope of the work was different from what we all initially thought and I was presented with a new quote. We split the different between $9000 and the new quote to arrive at a number that I thought was fair. The issue was that we discovered an extra layer on the existing roof which made disposal more costly. The final job took 2 full days and a few hours spread over 2 more days to complete due to weather and unforeseen consequences. Total was 4 days. They kept the workplace neat, clean and safe throughout. The work is done by a different company but Sean makes sure that everything is done right. This is consistent with advertising and I was not expecting anything else. I actually double checked a few items concerning the installation I was unsure about with the shingle manufacturer and Sean was happy to provide all the details needed for me to check and made no fuss about it. I appreciated that a lot. Someone from Storm Works is also on the ground to observe and make sure everything goes right. There were a couple of hiccups that are natural for the work that was done but everything was resolved satisfactorily and I would not hesitate to use Sean again. After the final payment is made, the only items I am missing are the warranty which Sean will provide. GAF explained that the registration process takes a few days. The other item I am still missing is the permit but that will be emailed to me by Sean. If there is no further update to this review, I have obtained these two documents and I am happy with the entire job.
